What is an ASN?
ASN stands for advanced shipping notice. It’s an electronic data interchange (EDI) message sent from the shipper to the receiver to notify of upcoming deliveries. The message details the shipment’s tracking number and contents. Traditionally these messages are sent through a trading partner.
Fulcrum supports the traditional EDI exchange, but also allows you to create internal ASNs for purchase orders you will be receiving. You can even give access to vendors to create the ASN and print carton labels.
When the shipment arrives, simply scan the barcode to receive inventory!
